History
- In 1986, Allen White, as a consolidation expert with an IT and mathematics background, developed the first consolidation software in Belgium, the Dos-based Echo solution, which became the market leader in Belgium and Luxembourg in 1995.
- Since 1996, he has developed a consultancy and training business, specializing in consolidation techniques, offered by the company ConsoServices.
- The Greek letter Σ (or Sigma) symbolizes a summation of figures, the basis of consolidation principles. In January 2002, the company Sigma Software & Services is founded to sell, implement and further develop software dedicated to consolidation process and to offer a full range of related technical services.
Sigma software for consolidation is immediately a success. InterWeb is launched quickly after to meet the increasing needs for efficient online intercompany matching in order to reduce the consolidation process delays.
- In 2008, Sigma Software & Services opens its subsidiary in Luxembourg to provide our clients (groups, fiduciaries and audit firms) with local support.
- In February 2009, Sigma Software & Services SA changes its name to SigmaConso SA.
- In 2010, SigmaConso’s strategy is to expand abroad, in fast-growing areas. As a consequence of this, partnership agreements are signed with 2 distributors, in Poland and in Singapore. The selection of our partners is driven by our core values: a combination of functional and technical expertise as well as the fact that our partners are able to deliver high quality local support, to guarantee a long-term relationship.
This same year, we also launch our new Web-based software, Mona Group Reporting.
