Overview

In every group, the intercompany matching process is a time-consuming and unproductive task.

Very often, reconciliation of accounts balances is considered as being part of the consolidation process and is therefore performed centrally by the parent company.

But also groups that do not consolidate are faced with intercompany matching and in particular for audit purpose.

Sigma InterWeb uses the flexibility and the real-time facility of the web to allow an on-line peer-to-peer reconciliation.

From a centralized to a decentralized process

In most organizations, the intercompany matching and analysis is provided centrally by the parent company, based on information reported by the subsidiaries. Differences are sent back to the corresponding companies for corrections and explanations.

With Sigma InterWeb instead, each group company, including the parent company, performs directly its own reconciliation in real time and is responsible for the quality and the accuracy of the results.
Amounts are reconciliated before the consolidation starts.
